Our Mission
Mission Statement
The Office of Christian Formation exists to promote the evangelizing mission of the Church: to form disciples of Jesus Christ by assisting the Bishop, as the unifying head of the community and teacher of doctrine, to direct and moderate all catechetical activities of the diocese. (National Directory for Catechesis #59 C)
Vision Statement
The Office of Christian Formation provides information, support, resources, and service to every catechetical leader, ordained or lay, throughout the Diocese of St. Augustine.
Action Statement
The Office of Christian Formation fulfills its mission and vision by assisting parishes and institutions in accomplishing the five tasks of catechesis with the following:

Division of Offices
Within the Office of Christian Formation, there is a distinctive branch office:
The Office of Ministry Formation.
The Ministry Formation Office (MFP) provides a three -year comprehensive program of study for lay ecclesial leaders. This program assists parishes, schools, and diocesan agencies by offering quality formation and practical experience to their leaders. The MFP focuses on the five areas of formation outlined in Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord (2005): academic, human, spiritual, personal, and pastoral.
